• ਪੈਦਲ (ਪੈਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ-ਅਸੀਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਣੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਪੈਦਲ ਹੀ ਤੁਰ ਪਏ ।
• ਪਰਛਾਵਾਂ ਛਾਂ, ਪ੍ਰਤੀਬਿੰਬ-ਦਰਿਆ ਦੇ ਕੰਢੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਪੀਂਦੇ ਹਿਰਨ ਨੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਵਿਚ ਆਪਣਾ ਪਰਛਾਵਾਂ ਦੇਖਿਆ ।

ਹੇਠਾਂ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਪੈਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿਓ- ਕਰੀਮੂ ਕੋਲ ਦਸ ਊਠ ਸਨ । ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਤੋਂ ਦੁਰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿਚ ਉਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੰਡੀ ਲਗਦੀ ਸੀ । ਕਰੀਮ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਉਠ ਉਸ ਮੰਡੀ ਵਿਚ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਜਾਣੇ ਸਨ । ਰਾਹ ਲੰਮਾ ਤੇ ਰੇਤਲਾ ਸੀ । ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕਰੀਮੂ ਸਵੇਰੇ ਹੀ ਊਠਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਤੁਰਿਆ ।

ਉਸ ਨੇ ਊਠਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਤਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਤੋਰਿਆ । ਇਕ ਊਠ ਦੀ ਨਕੇਲ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਅਗਲੇ ਊਠ ਦੀ ਮੁਹਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਦਿੱਤੀ । ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਊਠ ਇਕ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਇਕ ਤੁਰਨ ਲੱਗੇ । | ਸੂਰਜ ਉੱਚਾ ਹੋਇਆ । ਰੇਤਲਾ ਰਾਹ ਭਖਣ ਲੱਗਿਆ ।ਉਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੇਤਲੇ ਰਾਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੁਰਨਾ ਔਖਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਲਗਦਾ | ਕਰੀਮੂ ਲਈ ਰੇਤ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੁਰਨਾ ਸੌਖਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ । ਉਹ ਚੱਲਦਾ-ਚੱਲਦਾ ਥੱਕ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ । ਰਾਹ ਵਿਚ ਕੋਈ ਰੁੱਖ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ । ਰੇਤਲੇ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਵਿਚ ਰੁੱਖ ਤਾਂ ਦੂਰ-ਦੂਰ ਤੱਕ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ।
